Some residuals dropped but I didn’t much in terms of mf drops. If anything, I saw increases. The rates aren’t looking good for the summer so far and I’m not expecting them to improve in August. Let us hope that things improve in the Fall. The only positive thing I’m seeing is that TrueCar data suggests a good range of discounts (some as much as 14% off MSRP for a C350). I wouldn’t assuming that that’s the current selling price, but I certainly would not be afraid to ask for that type of a discount.

Residuals didn’t change much this month, but the money factors did. There isn’t really a “pattern” worth noting this month. Outgoing E-Class got a bump in MF instead of an anticipated decrease (to move the 2013 models) Looks like MBFS may be trying to sell them instead of lease them out. In any case, the C350 4matic Coupe did get a nice MF reduction this month so there are some savings to be had if you lease one of those models. I know many of you are eagerly anticipating the CLAs. This model isn’t expect to hit the dealerships until the Fall so don’t expect numbers on it any time soon. Also, keep you expectations tempered since it’s an all-new model.

Nothing extraordinary this month. Most either stayed the same or had residual drops. The most notable drop in MF is coming from the E-Class. Before you get too excited though, that’s more a by-product of the residual dropping than MB trying to move these models. Despite this, keep your eyes out on the E-Class, the refreshed 2014 should here (soon?) so I am expecting MB to step up on the incentives in order to move the 2013.

One thing is certain, MB rates have changes from March to April. The tough part is trying to gauge whether this month is better than the last. If I had to summarize the month, I would have to say that it’s good for some but bad for others. I’m seeing RES increases for some models, but drops in others. The same goes for the MF. I guess a “good deal” will really depend on which model you are aiming for. The one clear winner I’m seeing so far is the 2013 Mercedes SLK250 Convertible. It gets a 2% residual bump and no MF increase from last month. Others have either stayed the same, dropped in RES or increased in MF.
