2012 Lexus Lease Rates – February 2012

Residual remain the same as January, but MFs have been reduced in models such as the CT and the IS (to name a few) which is great. This month, I will be looking at the CT200H. If you are in the Military or are a recent graduate, you may qualify for $750 or $1000 (respectively) in customer cash. Since this isn’t a rebate that applies the most people, I will not be using it as part of my calculations. The CT200h isn’t getting a huge discount (I’m seeing a measly 1% off MSRP on the Premium), so no good deal can be had on the CT right now.

2012 Lexus Lease Rates – January 2012

Lease rates during the Holidays were a lot better than this month. No surprise there. January has never been the best time to lease cars. Buying is not bad because special financing usually carries over from the Holiday Season. It’s even better when you can find an unsold 2011 models since discounts are even more significant.

On a brighter note, the convertibles do sport a pretty good residual and decent money factor. TrueCar reports about 10% discount off MSRP in the SoCal market, so it might be worth a look. Check out the calculation below to get an idea where your payments would start.

I got the lease rates for the CT200H and they look okay. Same residual as the IS250, but a slightly higher money factor. Unfortunately, the average sale price in Southern California is about 4% off MSRP, which doesn’t yield the best payments. Check out my calculations below for more info. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth it. The IS250 sale prices seems to have dropped by a about $300 in my area as well, sneaking it right into the 90+ RWG range. Looks like Lexus just earned itself a car on my Round-Up this month! Couple of things to note, remaining 2011 models are getting some marketing cash assistance, so if you manage to find one, have the dealer work out numbers for that car too. Also, special financing IS available on the 2012 and the interest rate is LOW. Go to Edmund’s incentive page and you will see what I mean. 2012 IS250 is getting 0.9% for 60 months. That’s really good.

Residuals on the IS250 has carried over from last month. LFS has also been kind enough to drop the money factors to make the lease a bit more attractive. The best discount in the SoCal region is about 8% off MSRP, which is actually reasonable. Still not good enough to make the Round-Up though, but still worth a look if you are shopping for an IS. Looks like Lexus is trying to drum up some sales this holiday season which is good news for consumers.

2011-12 Lexus Lease Rates – October 2011

2012s are out and they have the usual high res and mf combination. In retrospect, these lease rates are actually BETTER than last year, when the 2011s were introduced. If you look over to last November, you will notice that the starting MF was 0.00210 with very little in terms of price discounts.

My recommendation is to explore the possibility of leasing a remaining 2011 model. Discounts should be more significant, even if the residual value is low. If that doesn’t work , THEN look into leasing a 2012 or perhaps shop for another brand altogether.

Lexus lease numbers still don’t look great, because esiduals have tanked and the MF has only dropped slightly. However, since we are nearing the end of the 2011 model year, you should expect sizable discounts. Take the IS250 for example, TrueCar indicates that So.Cal. prices are about 11% off MSRP. That’s VERY good because the residual is still good an the MF is reasonable.
If you are in the military, you should qualify for the $750 incentive that’s available through March 31st, 2012. Yes, that’s next year.

Money Factors have dropped across the board on all Lexus models. That’s good news because they haven’t been very good in the past few months. Residual values remain the same with the exception of the IS250 Convertible. That car gets a 1% residual boost this month. Overall? A better month, but still not a great one. Sale prices are hovering around 6% to 8% off MSRP, which isn’t too bad, but it’s no Infiniti or Acura, but it’s comparable to BMW’s 3-series and better than Audi.

Lexus lease rates remain unchanged from June. Sale prices don’t seem to have come down much either. There doesn’t seem to be much in terms of incentives either. Take the IS250 for example, the only cash available to customers is $1000 for current owners and $750 for members of the military. Other than that, not much available to those looking to lease a Lexus for the 1st time.

Not even financing looks great right now, which is 2.9% for 60 months. In contrast, IFS is offering 1.9% for 60 months on the G37, Acura is offering 1.9% for 60 months on the TL, MB is offering 2.9% for 66 months on the C300 and Audi is also offering 1.9% for 60 months on the A4.
