Altimas are selling extremely well right now. 2013 model is just around the corner and inventory on the 2012s is quite abundant. Two weeks ago, I was shopping for an Altima for my sister. She ended up with a Subaru Legacy Premium, but the quotes I got for the Altima S were VERY competitive. Nissan dealers will not be undersold, therefore, you can cross-shop them to your heart’s content in order to get the lowest price. I personally like the 36-month lease better because it yields a lower monthly payment.

Residuals have dropped and MFs have dropped along with them. This doesn’t apply to all models, but most. The 24-month leases on the Altima is still there. But the lease cash has changed. You will see a $1000 spring loyalty cash and a $1330 leasing bonus cash for new customers. The spring loyalty cash requires that your existing lease ends between now and the beginning of April.

How how does the Altima S look this month? Good, but not as good as last month. The good news is that the cash is not limited to returning customers.  If you are a returning customer, you should check with your dealer if you can combine the two cash rebates (Edmunds.com doesn’t not state if they can be combined or not).  Should they allow it, you would be looking at a lease just as good as last month’s.

The Altima S has the same 24-month lease as last month (which looks very good!). The MF is practically non-existent and the residual is still quite high for a 24-month lease. There is $1000 in Spring Loyalty Cash AND $850 Lease Cash. That’s a whole lot of dough. Assuming these two rebates can be combined (I don’t see why not), you are looking at a cool $1850 discount straight from the manufacturer. Now if you add that to the already low sale price suggested by TrueCar (about 8% off MSRP), you are looking at almost 16% off MSRP if you qualify for the loyalty cash. There is an excellent 24-month lease on the Altima S right now. The MF is a measly 0.00003 and the residual is a whopping 61%! That makes for a pretty slick lease right now. The others aren’t half bad either so don’t forget to check out the incentives (link above) on Edmunds.

One thing to note is that Nissan is notorious for giving customers a lot of cash but that cash typically cannot be combined with their financing (which is fantastic) or leasing (which is also quite good too). So be sure to figure out what best suits your situation (leasing or buying).

There’s been a slight drop in MF for the Maxima, Rogue and Murano. I also got 24-month lease rates for the Altima S sedan, which looks promising. I also got the numbers for the Pathfinder, which doesn’t horrible but I’m not certain it will be a great lease. The highlight this month is truly the Altima S. I have NEVER seen the Altima lease this well on a 24mo lease. As a matter of fact, I don’t recall any car leasing this well on a 24mo. PERIOD. There is also 0% financing for up to 60 month, making this both a good lease AND a good buy. Looks like we found this month’s Round-Up winner.
