09 Infiniti FX35 Lease Rates for January 2009

My Take: The FX looks like a decent lease this month as well. TM suggest near invoice price, which is good news. Factoring the $2000 lease cash available and you are probably looking at around $2000 below invoice on a FX35 lease right now. You do want to avoid the 24-month lease however. That one is clearly not a good deal since the MF is inflated adn the residual is low.

09 Infiniti FX35 and 08 Infiniti EX35 Lease Rates for Decemeber 2008

My Take: The FX35’s 24-month lease should be avoided at all costs. The 36-month is adequate for most lesses, while the 48-month lease nets the lowest monthly payment (around $50 less per month than the 36-month). It may seem like a better deal, but I can almost guarantee you that you will need to spend some money on tire replacements at the end of a 48-month lease, so that’s something to think about. The EX35 still seems to have decent residuals despite being an 08 model. The money factor is practically non-existant so that makes for a decent lease. This isn’t the best deal of the year however, July/August’s deals on the EX were probably the best ones of the year. There is $500 cash and another $5000 dealer cash that’s available, which should help drive down the price of the car significantly. I don’t think you’ll get the whole $5000 dealer cash (they won’t even combine it with the 0% APR and 0.9% financing), but the $500 shouldn’t be too hard.

November 2008 Lease Rats for 08 Infiniti M35 and 09 Infiniti FX

My Take: The M35 seems to have a lot of rebates available so you can probably a get a hefty discount. One thing keep in mind is that the M35 leases better at the 36 month and 48 month terms due to a discount on the money factor. There is also 0.9% financing for up to 72 months so that is also a good alternative to leasing. The FX isn’t seeing much of a discount or any lease support at the moment. Still a relatively new SUV, so I’m not very surprised. I would recommend holding out until next year, to see if the numbers improve.

October 2008 Lease Rate for 08/09 Infiniti M35, FX35, QX56

My Take: A lot going on at Infiniti this month…there’s about $4000 loyalty cash and $2000 lease cash for the FX35. While the M35 has $6000 dealer and $1500 sell down cash available. Edmunds suggest that the TMV price is a whopping $10k below MSRP. That’s freaking cheap! Unfortunately, I don’t think you can get that much off MSRP if you finance or lease, so take my lowest estimate with “a grain of salt”. However, invoice + $1500 cash shouldn’t be too outrageous of an asking price. Speaking of financing, 0.9% APR is available for up to 72 months in case you want to buy this car. Couple things to note, the M35 & F35 lease best at 36 months and possibly 39 months (I don’t know the rates for that term unfortunately) It is a good time to buy or lease Infiniti folks, no question about it.

September 2008 Lease Rate for 09 Infiniti FX

My Take: There rates on the FX this month are not exactly great, but there is $4000 in loyalty cash available to current Infiniti customers. That should make a pretty big difference in payments. Cash expires 9/30/2008.

August 2008 Lease Rate for 08/09 Infiniti FX35

My Take: There are some incentives and rebates available on the FX35 right now. You can see the list here The MF and Residual could be better though. A TMV price of $46,749 doesn’t seem to take the incentives into consideration, so it maybe be possible to shave $4000 off the MSRP and the loyalty cash. Definitely wouldn’t hurt to ask. Don’t bother leasing the ’08s, way too expensive.

I think if you are able to dip below invoice (say a $1000 or so), the payments should improve dramatically. I still think its a bit too expensive to lease right now, with the MF being around 4.9% APR. With all the low interest financing options floating around, why pay 4.9%? Doesn’t make any sense.

July 2008 Lease Rate for 08 Infiniti FX35

My Take: Just when we thought the Lexus’ residuals were low, Infiniti’s FX seems to take it one step lower. Unexpectedly, it doesn’t seem like there is any lease support for these vehicles. Lets see what the numbers look like on a FX35 AWD with Tech, Sport and Towing hitch.

  • MSRP $48,045
  • Invoice $43,769
  • Terms in BOLD, below
  • Standard inception fees apply, taxes not included.

24 Month Payments: $835 at invoice, $1004 at MSRP
36 Month Payments: $723 at invoice, $852 at MSRP

WOW! this hurts just typing it. The slightly better news is that you can probably get this car for under invoice…how much? Not sure, but Edmunds’ TMV shows around $3200 under invoice (in So Cal). Keep in mind that Edmunds’ TMV varies from zip code to zip code and also takes in consideration purchases, not just leases. Assuming TMV, the payment range is around: $675 for 24 months and $627 for 36 months. That’s much  better, but not quite a “deal” since taxes are not included.

June 2008 Lease Rates for 08 Infiniti FX35

FX35 AWD
24mo/12k – money factor .00095 – residual 66%
24mo/15k – money factor .00095 – residual 65%
36mo/12k – money factor .00094 – residual 55%.
36mo/15k – money factor .00094 – residual 54%.

My Take: Unless you really need a V8 powered SUV (for towing stuff), the FX35 should be sufficient for most families. Gas prices nowadays seem to dictate how consumers buy cars, so I can’t help but recommend the FX35 over the FX45. With the new FX50’s release being right around the corner, Infiniti seems to be trying to move the FX to make room on their lots by offering a low money factor for their leases. Now might be the time to pounce of the FX if that’s what you are in the market for.
