logo_benz My Take: C-Class Money Factors have been slashed by about half and residuals remain steady. You are pretty much guaranteed a lower monthly payment compared to February at this point, so feel free to visit your local Benz dealer and inquire about the Cs. There isn’t any cash floating around for the Cs, but hitting invoice or below shouldn’t be too much of a challenge. Lets take this scenerio for an instance. MSRP 37035, Invoice 34504, Sale price is 33763 (which is invoice minus 2% holdback, leaving 1% for the dealer). Monthly payments would be $383 + tax with inception fees due at signing (roughly estimated to be about $2000). This is for a 36mo/12k mile per year term. Compared to last month, you are saving about $50 per month. Not too shabby.

As for the E-Class. It remains relatively unchanged, with the exception of the coupes. I don’t expect the E-Class to improve any time during it’s first year run. If you want one of these, you still have to pay a premium.

logo_benz My Take: For the most part, the E-Class remains unchanged with the sedans. The coupes, on the other hand, have reduced money factors which should reduced the monthly payments somewhat. Still nowhere near a “deal” if you ask me.

logo_benz My Take: Some old thing, different month. The only noticeable change is the 60-month term, where the money factor drops from 0.00395 to 0.00385. My recommendation is to pass on this, but if you are really in need of the E-Class and simply can’t live without one right now, wait until the very end of the month and try to get as close to invoice as possible. Avoid sale events (such as Labor Day) since the busier a dealership is, the less likely they are to cut you a nice deal.

logo_benz My Take: Waiting for the E-Class numbers to drop? Keep on waiting. They look practically the same as last month, with the exception of the 24-month terms MF going up a bit. But who cares really, MBs aren’t meant to be leased on short terms anyway. Since its a month older, you might have better luck lowering the sale price. What I would suggest doing right now is to do your initial inquires for the next couple weeks, then wait until the last few days of the month to really push on your negotiations. Best of luck to you, this is a fine car so it’s worth all the effort.
