logo_benz My Take: C-Class Money Factors have been slashed by about half and residuals remain steady. You are pretty much guaranteed a lower monthly payment compared to February at this point, so feel free to visit your local Benz dealer and inquire about the Cs. There isn’t any cash floating around for the Cs, but hitting invoice or below shouldn’t be too much of a challenge. Lets take this scenerio for an instance. MSRP 37035, Invoice 34504, Sale price is 33763 (which is invoice minus 2% holdback, leaving 1% for the dealer). Monthly payments would be $383 + tax with inception fees due at signing (roughly estimated to be about $2000). This is for a 36mo/12k mile per year term. Compared to last month, you are saving about $50 per month. Not too shabby.

As for the E-Class. It remains relatively unchanged, with the exception of the coupes. I don’t expect the E-Class to improve any time during it’s first year run. If you want one of these, you still have to pay a premium.

logo_benz My Take: No rebates, disappointing lease rates = forgettaboutit! More than likely, you will be able to get invoice. Additionally, you should also be able to tap into holdback. VJ mentioned that “Ambassador Numbers” are available this month. Meaning “employee discounts”. This is a good thing, if you can match it with a killer money factor and residual value. I’m not really seeing it here on the C. If they were to drop the money factor by 0.001, then you’re talking a “can’t miss” lease.

logo_benz My Take: As expected, the C-Class lease rates remain the same as November’s numbers. Still a good lease, remember that invoice is fairly easy to get in markets with a fair amount of competition. I would definitely advice shooting way below that and see if you can pull it off ($1000-2000 below invoice). I have listed the C300 Sport on the List for this month to give you an idea as to how much your payments would be.

logo_benz My Take: Wow, damn MBFS for making do this on a Friday night! Regardless, I couldn’t skip town without posting the latest (and greatest) stuff that MB has come out with this month. The C-Class got a big drop (for the most part) in the Money Factor department this month with the residual values staying intacted. I don’t have to explain to you why this is a good thing. If you have to ask me why, I would recommend you to take a visit to the Leasing 101 section of this website.

I’m really digging the C-Class this month. Specially the C300s, not so much the C350 and C63. They are highly recommended since you are going from a 4.2% interest rate down to a 2.2% interest without a drop in residual value. That pretty much spells savings right there. I will probably put the C300 on The List when I return, so feel free to begin your dealer inquires on the C this month.

logo_benz My Take: 2010 C-Class remains unchanged since September. I do like the lease rates on these rides, but it all depends on the type of discount you are able to get. I would personally shoot for a nice 10% off the MSRP and see which dealer is willing to swing that. Is it likely? Probably not (invoice might be more likely), but it never hurts to try.

THe CL-Class looks as unappealing as usual, so feel free to give it a pass for the month. Ditto on the CLS.

logo_benz My Take: For those who waited on the 2010 C-Class last month, you just saved yourself some cash. The residual value on the C stayed the same (GOOD) and the money factor dropped 0.00035 points for practically all trims in the 36 and 48 month terms (except the C63, which is expected). The drop of the money factors saves you about $21 per month. The Lease Calculator rates a C300 Sport with Premium 2 package (sold at invoice) at 1.32 rating, which is just “Average”. This means, there’s room to go down, but it won’t kill you if you really want it. Remember, this is contingent on you getting at least invoice as the sale price and paying your usual $2000 (or so) inception fees.

logo_benz My Take: Looks like the 2010 C-Class has arrived for those who have been eagerly awaiting it’s arrival. Numbers look okay I guess. Nothing to sing about in all honesty. You can probably expect some discounting, but nothing like that past few months. In all honesty, I was expect much worse since they just arrived. I would probably wait a little bit to see if the MF drops a bit more. I personally like them in the lower .00100s instead of the high .00100s. However, if you REALLY must have a C-Class, it probably won’t kill you to get it this month, you will probably have to negotiate a bit harder, that’s all.
