09 BMW 7-Series Lease Rates – July 2009

logo_bmwMy Take: Lot of questions I haven’t gotten around to answer, so I’ll keep this brief. The residual is below average and the money factor is better than average. I wouldn’t call this a “deal”, but for the right sale price, it could be.

09 Audi Q7 Lease Rates – July 2009

logo_audiMy Take: Something weird going on here…the Q7 3.6 Premium seems half decent for a “Lease-to-Buy”, low residual, low MF. But here’s the thing, Edmund’s TMV states about $2300 below invoice sale price, but I don’t see any rebates floating around. The way I feel about TMV is that whenever it shows a sale price near MSRP, I think you can do better. Whenever I see a sale price that’s way below invoice, I feel like that only applies to purchases. That has been the case for the most part, which is why I stick by that logic. Anyway, should the sale price of $2300 below invoice be attainable, then this wouldn’t be a too bad of a deal. Unfortunately, in the “real world” I haven’t seen anyone reporting that kind of money off the Q7 yet.

09 Mercedes Benz ML Lease Rates – July 2009

logo_benzMy Take: The MF on the ML350 and ML350 4matic are solid. But, the residual values are a bit too low. Still, not a terrible lease for the most part due to the $2000 lease cash that lasts through the end of July. This is also a great candidate for lease-end purchase since the MF is lower than the APR you can get should you decide to finance a purchase. Just remember that the remining payoff would need to be paid off in full or financed at a relatively low APR in order to make this worthwhile. What I would suggest doing is leasing the car first and put a way an extra few hundred bucks a month away every month to use towards the payoff at lease end. Should you choose to buy the car out, you can payoff a huge portion of that payoff, thus reducing the amount you financed at lease end. If you decide you don’t want to buy it out, no big deal, you just saved nearly $10k since you had been putting away some money every month for the last four years.

2009/2010 Acura TSX Lease Rates – July 2009

logo_acuraMy Take: I hope you didn’t expect the V6 trim to lease really well on it’s first few months. Good residual value though, but I wouldn’t touch it until the money factor drops below .00200. Anyway, the current deal on the 09 TSX is $319.00 per month for 36 months. $3,299.00 total due at signing. As you know, you can negotiate a much better deal on your own. My guess is that the payments can be kept in the $300s and you can cut your inception fees down to about $1500. Anyway, keep an eye on this post, I’ll post the rates of the 4 cylinder models as I find them so you can crunch your own numbers.

IFS Waives Last 3 Payments for Existing Customers

If you are currently leasing an Infiniti, you can take advantage of the promo going on until the end of September. If you qualify to get into another Infiniti, IFS will waive up to 3 payments on your current car. You will also be provided a $500 wear and tear waiver. Remember that there is also some loyalty cash floating around as I mentioned before on my “An Afternoon with Mercedes, BMW and Infiniti” post. Here’s the official newsletter (2MB PDF) from David Baker over at Cerritos Infiniti. Since this is an IFS offer, it should be available at all Infiniti dealerships.

09/10 Nissan GT-R Lease Rates – July 2009

logo_nissanMy Take: I shouldn’t really have to tell you what to do with these lease rates. You can get a new car loan at a lower interest rates than what you would get charged here on a GT-R lease. Smart people would pay cash; Desperate ones would probably sort for a lower interest loan; The rest should donate to the RIDE with G Fund. LOL.
