2011-12 Hyundai Lease Rates – October 2011

The Hyundai Veloster is out and it’s lease rate doesn’t look terrible. Unfortunately, discounts off sticker are not significant, so the lease doesn’t look very good (See below to see what I mean). With this in mind, if you have been waiting to get your hands on the Veloster, I would probably wait a few months to see how things shake out. The car is far too new at the moment, so it’s place in the marketplace is still up in the air. Plus, there’s a Turbo model in the works, so you may want to hold out and test drive that ride before you make your final decision.

By the way, the $500 cash on the Sonata is still available. It does help make the lease more attractive, but it still lags behind the deals people were getting earlier this year.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

2011-12 Nissan Lease Rates – October 2011

Nissan is actually giving out a lot of incentives on their cars right now. So head over to Edmunds to see which ones are out there and see if you qualify for them. BRichards got a sweet deal on a Maxima last week (see here). I don’t have numbers for the SV or the 39-month terms, but I am willing to bet they are decent and the discounts are substantial.

The Altima S looks like a bargain right now, with such as high residual and low money factor. The discounts right now are sizable too, so right now it’s really a good time to lease the Altima S.

2011-2012 Volkswagen Lease Rates – October 2011

It seems like VW dealers are giving only about 4% off MSRP on the GLI, CC and Passat this month. Given this type of discount, the CC and the Passat are probably the better options. The GLI doesn’t get much lease support (in terms of cash) while the CC gets $1250 lease cash and the Passat gets $1000 plus it has good lease rates. I can’t say the car is, but with numbers like that, the Passat S w/ Appearance pkg is shaping up to be a fairly good lease this month.

2011-12 Honda Lease Rates – October 2011

Too bad the current CR-V isn’t the one pictured above because the lease rates look solid. Very high residual, reasonable money factor. Discounts are about 10% here in So Cal. Inventory levels seem fairly healthy too. I smell a good deal here. Another model to look at is the Pilot. My estimates on the 4WD LX look quite good for a 2012 model. I think these leases are priced to move. I would love to get a Pilot right now so I can haul house stuff to and from Lowe’s. Also, keep an eye on financing. 0.9% is a good deal, so buying could be better than leasing if you have the cash. Check out Edmund’s Incentives page for more details.

2011-12 Infiniti Lease Rates – October 2011

If you can get a 2011 G37 sedan right now, you can probably lease it for real cheap. I would probably recommend that over the 2012 at the point. Availability is probably going to be an issue, but I certainly would recommend inquiring about any last remaining 2011 before looking into the 2012s.

On a personal note, I really love the M35h. But fully loaded, it’s freakishly expensive (about $780 a month BEFORE tax). Yickes!

2011-12 Lexus Lease Rates – October 2011

2012s are out and they have the usual high res and mf combination. In retrospect, these lease rates are actually BETTER than last year, when the 2011s were introduced. If you look over to last November, you will notice that the starting MF was 0.00210 with very little in terms of price discounts.

My recommendation is to explore the possibility of leasing a remaining 2011 model. Discounts should be more significant, even if the residual value is low. If that doesn’t work , THEN look into leasing a 2012 or perhaps shop for another brand altogether.

Audi A8L

2012 Audi Lease Rates – October 2011

The only change I see is a 2% in residual for the A5 convertible. AFS has dropped the MF to compensate for that loss, but I don’t think that’ll be enough to keep things interesting. Other than that, everything stay flat (more or less)

Take the A3 for example. There is a $1000 Owner Loyalty Bonus Cash for purchases and a $500 Owner Loyalty Bonus Cash for leases. That’s not a bad incentive, but still doesn’t make this lease worthwhile. Expect lease rates to change for Nov/Dec. Let us hope for some nice incentives then.

2011-12 Acura Lease Rates – October 2011

No changes on the lease rates this month. Couple of things to note, however. The 2012 TL’s $1250 dealer cash for leasing and purchasing expires 10/06/11!!! The $500 bonus dealer cash (leasing-only) expires month end. Get on this and quick! The TL is a good very good deal as long as the $1250 dealer cash is available. Once that’s gone, we won’t know if it will come back. ACT NOW!

$1250 and $500 dealer cash is good til month end! Thanks for the tip Shappy!

For 2012, the TSX will come in one extra flavor. The TSX Limited Edition. It is mostly a cosmetic update. I wouldn’t call it an “upgrade” because it looks the same. However, the LE will only come in Manual AND in limited “race” colors and the Tech Package will not be available.  A product specialist at the OC Auto Show also told me that Acura will be making three important announcements between now and the end of the year/early next year. She would not devolve any details though, I guess I wasn’t “charming” enough. LOL.
