2012 Audi Lease Rates – March 2012

It seems all Audi’s got a drop in residual value (1-2%). They also received a MF adjustment to compensate for the loss in residual. There is one exception, the Q7 got a slight bump on the MF. Not I understand the logic there.

I’m going to switch gears this month and switch my sample calculation to the A4 (instead of the A3). In SoCal, TrueCar indicates a sale price of about 3% off MSRP before any incentives are applied. Audi is offering customer cash in a variety of ways:

  1. $1500 loyalty cash for retail purchases.
  2. $1000 new owner cash. I think this is similar to a conquest cash…restrictions do apply.
  3. $750 loyalty cash for leases.

On a different note, you can get 1.9% financing on the A4 up to 5 years. The lease MF is practically the same 0.00080 x 2400 = 1.92% so there isn’t much of an advantage to buy.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

2012 Infiniti Lease Rates – March 2012

Changes for Infiniti this month include lower residual values (1-2%) and lower Money Factors. I expect lease rates to remain the same through the end of April, but make sure to check back in occasionally in case things change. Per my calculations below, which takes loyalty cash into consideration, the G37 Journey Sedan’s monthly payment has gone up about $6 per month on average. Not a huge change so the lease remains a darn good one. One a side note, gas prices could have an effect on the sale prices on Infinitis, so I recommend being a bit more aggressive with your offer. Infinitis are not known to be “fuel sippers” and the fact that they gulp premium doesn’t exactly help either.

2012 Acura Lease Rates – March 2012

Acura residuals dropped through the entire lineup. What’s weird is that Acura didn’t lower the MF on all the models to compensate for the lower residual values. TSX and TL have notable increases in MF. Weird tactic if you ask me. So what gives? Well, the TL base has $1750 in dealer cash and $2000 on the TL with Tech. Sorry, no cash for those looking for the SHAWD models. The TSX gets $500 in dealer cash across all trims and nothing more.

Wondering how these changes make the TL lease look like? Payments are higher because of the loss in residual and higher MF. The good news is that the car is still a very good deal and low-interest special financing is available should you choose to buy the car.

2011-12 BMW Lease Rates – March 2012

Surprisingly enough, not a lot of big changes. Most numbers carry over from February with only a few exceptions. Remaining 2011 models have a 30-month sweet spot (it was 33-months in Feb) and a reduced MF to help with the lack of months to spread the payments over. Below, you will see a sample calculation of the 2012 328i sedan. The discount off MSRP is a measly 1% according TrueCar and the MF is a bit high. I guess that’s the price you pay to roll in a redesigned 3-series. Those who can hold out, should. Those who won’t settle for anything but a BMW, I’d love sell you one right about now! 🙂
