2012 Audi Lease Rates – April 2012

No change from last month. Incentives remain the same as well. There really isn’t much to say about Audis. I don’t really find their lease programs all that attractive right now so it’s tough to recommend as a lease. Sure, there is lease cash and loyalty cash available for retail purchases, but I think the residual is too low and the average sale price isn’t aggressive enough to turn a lease into a great deal. I’m not holding out a lot of hope for great Audi leases this month. However, if you are planning to lease an Audi this month, please drop in and leave a comment about the quotes you are getting. I am interested in seeing what kind of numbers you are getting.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

2012 Hyundai Lease Rates – April 2012

Strangely enough, HMF re-adjusted the residual values for almost all of their cars. They also adjusted the money factor too. Some when up, while others came down. It’s a mixed bag if you ask me. The downside is that some cash incentives are no longer available, so I’m not sure I like the “improved” residuals and money factors on some models.

If you are leasing a Sonata, please note the $1500 cash is no longer available. Only the $500 loyalty cash is there now. That’s actually not that great because the $1500 that was originally there was fantastic. Now, please take my sample calculations below with a grain of salt. The sale price is based on March sale prices, so I would definitely try to knock off another grand or so to bring the payments closer to last month’s level.

I am being old that the $1500 lease cash is still around. I don’t see it on Edmunds.com, but it may very well be there. I recommend asking for it and see if you can get it. For all intents and purposes, I won’t be adjusting my calculation below. However, I do recommend taking that extra cash into consideration when crunching your own numbers. Specially if the dealer is willing to honor it.

2012-13 Infiniti Lease Rates – April 2012

There are no changes to the lease rates this month. There is still lease loyalty cash, but it’s “dealer cash”, not “customer cash”. So if you have difficulty tapping into all of it, you know why. I also received the lease rates for the 2013 JX35 and they look pretty good. There isn’t enough data to estimate payments yet, but it wouldn’t hurt to start at invoice and see where you land.

2011-12 BMW Lease Rates – April 2012

Slight drop in MF for some 2012 models, but the main story is that 2011 328i and 335i sedan lease support has been yanked. 30-month lease on  remaining 2011 AWD models still available, though. BMW has always been known for very strong residuals, but their MF has always been pretty high for a lot of their models. In cases like this, you just have to opt for MSDs to bring down the interest rate. However, before you make the decision, you need to be aware that you can risk losing that money if you try to trade-in your vehicle.

There is actually bonus cash available for folks shopping for a 3, 5 or M3 model. For the 3-series, there is $1000 in bonus cash. Those who belong to USAA can also qualify for one of two types of cash bonuses (depending on whether you finance through USAA or BMWFS). This cash is only available for retail purchases and lasts through the end of the 2012 calendar year.

2012 Honda Lease Rates – April 2012

Honda lease rates carry over from March. There is dealer cash available for the Accord, Civic and CrossTour right now, so if you are shopping for either one of these models, you are in luck. Remember that “dealer cash” is not the same thing as “customer cash”. Customer cash is for you, the customer. Dealer cash is for the dealer, which they are not required to give you in it’s entirety. Generally, dealers will give you a good chunk of it in order to make a sale. That doesn’t exactly mean that you can’t get the whole thing, though. It never hurts to ask.

Looking below, you will notice an estimate for the Accord Sedan SE. Personally, I think you can do better than that because my calculations do not include the $1250 dealer cash that’s available. Hypothetically, I see being able to stay at this monthly payment but with a $0 drive-off instead of paying inception fees upfront.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.
