2013 Lexus Lease Rates – January 2013

Lexus numbers are back again. Somehow they were lost in the shuffle over the last couple months, but here they are. RX models have a notably “lower” MF than the other Lexus models, which is good news. The residuals are also high, so all you really need to worry about is negotiating a lower sale price. There are also some rebates available to military, college grads and general customers looking to lease a Lexus. Check it out!

Those of you shopping for an IS, this is going to your last year to get into the current generation model. News out of the Detroit Auto Show suggests that the 2014 model will be completely redesign. Keep an eye out in the coming months as Lexus will try to clearance any remaining 2013 IS models before the 2014 IS rolls into town.

2013 Audi Lease Rates – January 2013

UPDATE: Audi has revised their lease program. Please see below. As far as I can tell. Some residuals have dropped along with the MF. Others only got a MF reduction. Nothing too drastic, but worth noting.

Slight drops in MF and residual but most a good numbers of models stayed the same. Not seeing any cash incentives showing on Edmunds, but I think the financing rates looks quite strong.
One thing still baffles me though…Audis seem to sell well, but surprisingly, even Acura managed to outsell Audi last year. Go figure.

Residuals and money factors dropped this month for most models. The more mainstream models look pretty good. There are some incentives going on right now so be sure to inquire with your dealers about what rebates apply to you.

2013 Honda Lease Rates – January 2013

As many of you may have noticed, the wife and I picked up a 2013 Pilot last month. So far, we are very pleased with the SUV and have no complaints. Plenty of cargo room and extremely comfortable. Our sale price ended up about $180 more than what I was hoping for, but under the circumstances (very limited availability), I wasn’t about to make a big fuss about it. Overall, a very good lease,  specially considering the 1% drop in residual and increase in money factor this month compared to last.

If you look at Nov/Dec numbers and compare them with this month’s numbers, you will noticed some unusual drops and increases in residual value and some drops and increases in money factors as well. The most notable drop is on the Odyssey from .00155 to .00064 while the most notable increase is on the Pilot, which goes from .00022 to .00073.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

2013 Acura Lease Rates – January 2013

The ZDX is gone after the 2013 model year, so if you want one, better snag one this year. The rates don’t look like much right now, but wait until the summer rolls around, it should get better. Overall, nothing overly exiting. There is some dealer cash (Edmunds is showing $1500 through early March). I’m thinking about 10% off MSRP is a pretty safe discount on the TLs right now. ILX numbers looks attractive right now too, probably moving off the lots rather slowly. Anyway, dig around. The numbers aren’t all that scary so there might be something here.

2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – January 2013

Honestly, I was expecting worse, but they actually look half-decent. Pretty much the standard/expected reduction in residual and money factor we’ve come to expect as time goes by. Edmunds’ is not showing incentives for Hyundais on their website, so either they aren’t giving out any this month or Edmunds hasn’t posted any. Check with your dealer, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few hundred laying around for current customers.

2012-13 Infiniti Lease Rates – January 2013

Infiniti adjusted the residuals and money factors this month. There is some dealer cash still available through the end of the month so if you are shopping for an Infiniti this month, things don’t look so bad.

On a completely different note, for the 2014 model year, Infiniti will be renaming their entire lineup using the Q designation plus a number (unrelated to the engine displacement) for all coupes, convertibles and sedans. The QX plus a number will be used for all crossover/suv models. Let us hope a major price hike and crappy lease rates do not follow suit.

2013 Mercedes Benz Lease Rates – January 2013

Doesn’t look like Mercedes made any lease rates changes this month. That’s good thing because numbers are typically worse after the Holiday season. Folks reported some hefty discounts on the C-Class during the holidays so if you are in the market for one, I would recommend looking into it while the numbers remain practically the same.
