February lease rates have changed from January. Unusual, but not completely unexpected. VW usually has decent late Winter/early Spring deals, which is reflected in the low money factors of many of their models.
On an unrelated note. I am driving the last 100 miles on the wife’s Jetta and I have to say, I’m going to miss it. It’s been fairly reliable and the interior has withstood the test of time, unlike my Sonata (will talk more about that in the future). VW builds pretty solid cars and I am definitely not opposed to leasing or buying another one down the road.

That’s why I like vw, audi, and lexus. Not only for the elegant non-cluttered modern minimalist design but also the substance of the material and the detailed execution. But i think i m in the minority as most people dont pay attention to such details and think that simplicity is boring. I think the majority of the american market is feature oriented. When people shop, they have a laundry list of features that they compare from different cars, then justifying it by the price (truedelta, anyone?). However, this doesnt tell you about the substance and execution which dont have obvious quantified matrix.
I agree. VWs do hold up pretty well. They have the basic features that make it a very functional and enjoyable car. Just turned in the Jetta over the weekend. Gave it a nice wash beforehand so I can touch up any scratches and such. Gonna miss that little car. We thought about buying it out, but in the end, the ride is just too rough (I’m getting old) to be used as a commuter.
