Other than the Azera getting a MF drop, everything stays the same. Took my Sonata in for warranty work this morning and got a chance to talk to my sales guy. He’s been saying the Sonata SE Turbo is pretty rare these days (in CA at least), so they are marking it up $1000 over MSRP. Silly isn’t it? That got me thinking, it might be a good time to trade my Sonata in…Tempting. Anyway, I spent some time checking out the Azera and it really impressed me. It’s VERY plush and the interior materials are high-grade. It even has rear seat warmers and shaders, standard. Navi, standard as well. The only upgrade is a $4000 Tech package that adds Xenons, Pano, Premium sound, vented sets, etc…pretty nice if you ask me. Despite this, I recommend most of you skipping generation 1 of any newly redesign model, unless you don’t mind spending time at the dealer like I did today.

That same Azera has been selling well in South Korea for some time now. I wouldn’t be shy or wary of maintenance issues in this case.
In terms of maintenance, I haven’t had a problem. My issue has been mostly warranty work. It’s not horrible, it’s just annoying. I never took my TSX to the dealer for warranty work. I didn’t take my G37 in for warranty work either. I went 8 times for my 325i, twice for my A4. None for my Mazda3. Once for my wife’s Jetta. I’ve already gone warranty work for my Sonata 4 times.
