Numbers remain the same. My projection of the 328i selling for about $500 remains the same as well. In other words, whatever you were getting in July should remain the same in August. I looked at TrueCar data for NY area and it looks like the 328i is coming in at a bout $400 less, so those of you in the NE, try going for invoice. Truth be told, I’d recommend going for invoice no matter where you live.
Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.
2012 BMW 328i Sedan
MSRP – $35,795
Sale Price – $34,100
Monthly – $441+ tax
RWG Rating – 83.5

Hi G –
I’m planning on picking up a lease soon but wanted your opinion.
This will be for a 2012 328i coupe with the following:
Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Dakota Leather
Premium Package
M Sport Package
Heated Front Seats
Bamboo Anthracite Wood Trim
Navigation System
M Steering Wheel W/Paddles
Metallic Paint
MSRP: 49,095
Selling price: 41,500
Drive off fees: 1,798.30
36 months
Residual: 57%
Money Factor: .00145
Sales Tax .00875
15,000 miles per year
According to your calculator, I get a RWG rating of 98.44. Do you think there’s anything room for improvement or if this is a pretty good deal?
Let me know, I appreciate it!
whats the monthly payment? im looking for a similarly equipped model soon.
$518 with tax/mo.
Are you doing Euro Delivery? How did you get such an aggressive sale price?
Vince, that’s one crazy discount off MSRP. Congrats on that. I like it. I think its very good.
looks like there is $3200 dealer cash. and $750 loyalty. invoice and those two incentives puts Vince at his number.
Also, ED would put him there…but if you are doing ED, you should also get the 3200 dealer cash and thus a sale price of MSRP minus almost $10k would be possible!
Hi, how accurate are these numbers? The dealership in Santa Monica showed me that the 2012 535i sedan rwd had a residual starting at 54% for 15k, 56% for 12k and 57% for 10k. I saw it on the paper with for the month of August 2012 from BMW financial. They said this website is incorrect and wouldn’t raise the residual.
Typically, they are pretty much in line with what the manufacturer releases. They could be different if the manufacturer changed them mid-month. I didn’t get notified, so I can’t confirm.
Anyway, since i don’t sell you anything and I am not an authorized dealership for any manufacturer, I recommend using my numbers as a general guide to estimate your payments. The dealer will have final say on what terms and numbers they use to calculate your deal. If you don’t trust them, then I would shop them around to confirm.
Thanks. It turns out that this information is wrong and the real residual for the 2012 535i is 54%, 56%, and 57%. I confirmed it with two more dealerships.
Anyway just got into a 535i M Sport w/ Premium, tech/nav and a few other items for $9800 off MSRP (Original price was $64,395). $3995 out of pocket and $625/month for 10k miles, 36-month lease. How did I do?
Hi G,
Can you please post September 2012 Lease Program. As far as I know, the numbers are out already.
Thanks in advance.
