2012 Volkswagen Lease Rates – March 2012

VW just bumped the lease cash for the CC by $250 bucks AND is providing 0% financing for up to 72 month!!!! There is a drop in residual value, so I think the extra cash was introduced to offset that (keeping the lease exactly the same as Feb). The MF is already very low (0.00009 vs 0.00012 in Feb) so there was only so much they could go before having to drop some more money at it.

Either way you go (lease of finance), I think you’ll find that a good deal can be had on the CC this month.

Here is a sample calculation based on TrueCar’s Southern California sale price and do not include local taxes. Please note that your dealer calculations may vary due to local fees/taxes.

  1. G,

Can you provide some assistance? I am looking at the Jetta & was quote. I would love to know your opinion. Thanks.

    MSRP-$23,555.00
    Selling Price $22,000.00

    7% Tax $ 1,540.00
    Doc Fee $ 197.00
    Reg. Fee $ 278.50
    Total $24,015.50

    • @AJ. This is a purchase, is that correct? I’m assuming you are looking at a Jetta SE since you didn’t disclose that on your comments. You are getting about 6.5% off MSRP, which is very good at this price range, as a matter of fact, I’m willing to bet you are getting the car at near dealer cost. I would pull the trigger on this.

  2. G,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes Jetta SE with Conv, Sunroof. It’s actually going to be a lease. I just simply asked for best price and that’s what I received. If I was to lease the car for 12k – 36months, would the monthly payment with tax be around 250?

  3. @AJ. I am getting $277 a month with tax. With your 1st payment, dealer fees, DMV and bank fee due at signing. If you pay taxes up front, then your payment drops to $259.
    Hope this helps.

  4. G,

Your reply was very helpful. Thanks! I would really appreciate some more help. If I pay taxes up front making it around 259. How do I get the monthly lease number lower? Negotiate on the selling price? (However, you mentioned it was almost near dealer cost?)

    • @AJ. I don’t think you can get too much lower on the sale price car because the car has little margin. Cars in the mid-low 20k range typically do not get deep discounts unless there’s manufacturer cash. I don’t believe there is any in this case. If you want to lower your payments more, you may have to resort to cap reduction (down payments).

    • @AJ. Loyalty cash is for returning VW customers normally. However, I made a mistake on my post. The $1750 is not loyalty cash, it’s actually a LEASE BONUS, so it’s applicable to everyone who leases through VW Credit.

  5. Looking at a Toureg VR6 Executive. With a MSRP of $56,245, I can get it for $52887 through a supplier program. With a 36 month, 12k a yr lease whats the best possible scenerio? The MF is low but the residual isn’t very good. Is VW offering anything else to drive the cost down?

    • VW is offering a 3000 lease incentive on the truck. I know because i just bought one

so in your case it will be
      52887
      -3000
      _______________

      net cap of 49887

  6. Hey G-

Great website! Very helpful so far. Would you happen to know if the MF and residuals are any different on the V6 Passat? Very little lease information out there on the V6…

    Thanks!

    • @bryanS. Don’t normally get V6 numbers. They are non-high volume sellers so my contact usually doesn’t include them on my list.
