My Take: As expected, the 5-Series did take a pretty significant jump on the money factor, making financing the lease loan significantly more expensive than last month. Is there an upside to all of this? Sort of. BMWFS introduced $2500 Holiday Cash for customers who finance through them, which isnt’ too bad. In this case the lower MF than the customer/dealer cash because the difference in the interest charge incurred in this month’s lease (compared to last month) will more than likely exceed $2500. Not to mention the fact that cash rebates are often taxed.
