My Take: 5-Series lease rates look unchanged from August, which is not such a bad thing since the lease rates are pretty reasonable. I’d like to note that auto sales should take a dive this month (compared to last month) due to the fact that the Cash for Clunkers deal has expired. This may be a good thing since you might be able to get more pricing for your leases. I’d like to remind you that when you contact your dealer, you should already a sale price and monthly payment range in mind. This will make things easier on you and your dealer. Don’t ask the dealer to make you an offer because you will spend a lot of time going back-and-forth, which generally results in much added stress for both parties. Ideally, inquire about all the fees, you should to work your numbers, THEN make your offer to the dealer. This would be the most effective/painless way to go.
