My Take: Wow, look at the money factor on the SLK300. They might as well make it .00001 or something because that’s 0.16% APR right there. I think that’s a great candidate for “leasing to buy” right now since there is very little interest. Most of your payment will be going towards depreciation and tax, that’s about it. There is also the current 0.9% for 66 months promo going on with most Mercs this month so you can always take advantage of that if you are looking to buy the car. If you are able to make a large payment at the end of a lease to buy out the car, you may want to just lease it for 4 years, save up and do a massive payoff at lease end. That’s also another alternative to save some cash in these uncertain times. Remember to read all the articles in the “Leasing 101” section if you are new to leasing. A wealth of info at your finger tips!
