My Take: If you are shopping around for a family sedan, the Toyota Camry looks like a solid lease this month. There is a about $1500 worth in cash rebates available, so be sure to factor that into your negotiations. That should drop the Camry well below invoice since TMV suggests only a few hundred over invoice as the sale price.

Just cut a deal today, over phone & email, for a new 2010 Camry 4dr XLE V-6 w/Nav from a NJ dealer, using Overstock.com’s TrueCar template, with a Tier 1+ credit rating [has to be above 730].
I’m off to the dealer, in person, tomorrow, to sign. I’ll report the details back here, i.e., first making sure there were no sudden overnight, “oops, we forgot to add this fee” stuff, wherein I would then simply walk. If all goes well, I’ll report the exact financial breakdown here. [But I will NOT identify the Toyota dealer unless G wishes same.]
@SJ. Keep me posted on the Camry experience with Overstock’s TrueCar site. If you can, please email me the Toyota dealer’s information. I’d like to contact them to see if they can me my source for all things Toyota.
