September 2008 Lease Rate for 09 Mercedes Benz E-Class

My Take: I don’t really understand why Benzos always cost so much. Its not like they are the most reliable cars on the road. Luxurious? Maybe. Looks like those who want that shiny 3-pointed star on their hood will need to pay a premium for it. MB’s 4-year lease seems most attractive, but considering tire replacements and maintenance fees, I’m not so sure lower payments offset the operational costs.

  1. I am on my third Mercedes. I’ve also owned Acura. I like Mercedes. I will say that up front. In my opinion, you do pay more for a Mercedes. No question about it. Either the customer thinks it is worth the extra money or not. But Mercedes is never going to be the low cost provider. But I doubt if anyone would find that to be headline news.

  2. Hey Dave, you got a point. There’s something about MB that just makes people want to buy it. I know my wife is one of those who have an “eye” for the “fancy” stuff. LOL. I love it when she says “ooh I like that car a lot, what it is and how much?”…08 MB SL-Class..yeah…more than I can afford. LOL.
You are right about MB never being a “low cost provider” but wouldn’t it be awesome if someone were to snatch on for an insanely low price? I’ll tell you this, if I can find a well-equipped MB right for inception + $400-$420 a month, I’ll trade in my G37 just to see how a MB feels. I’ve never really leased one of them before. Came close once, but went with the 3-series instead.
