09 Audi TT Lease Rates – May 2009

logo_audi My Take: I don’t understand why the Audi TT never gets any decent lease support. The money factors have dropped on a little primarily on the convertibles. Unfortunately, the residual are atrocious, so it makes the payments higher than I would personally recommend. Sale prices should be reasonable for most metro markets with decent competition, but I probably wouldn’t consider buying it unless you plan to pay cash. Just a quick reminder to fellow Californians, your auto licensing fees are going up May 19th, 2009.

logo_audi My Take: Looking for a fun summer cruiser? Keep looking. The TT’s numbers are less than desirable this month, so I would recommend passing on these. If you plan to buy however, it might not be so bad since you can probably get them at invoice. Unfortunately, I don’t seen any special financing available, so you going with your own bank or paying cash may be the better alternative.

09 Audi TT Lease Rates – March 2009

logo_audi My Take: Rather than scrapping all of the Audi TT’s lease rates, I decided to post them along with the following warning: The residual stinks, the money factor stinks. Lease with caution. Unless you are able to knock off a lot of cash off the sale price, I would not touch this lease with a 10-foot pole. I wasn’t a big fan of my last A4, so I highly doubt I’ll be visiting any Audi dealers in the coming years. Oh, if you are wondering why there aren’t any payment estimates, well that’s because I don’t think it’s worth the time in all honesty. Thanks for understanding.

UPDATED Audi Lease Rates for Nov-Dec 2008

My Take: Audi Financial updated the lease rates yesterday. At first glance, you’ll noticed the money factor was slashed for the A3. The A4 stays relatively unchanged. There a lot of money factor reductions for some of the other cars on their line up. Take the time to look things over to see if there’s something worth leasing here. I personally would look into the A3 2.0T Quattro or the A4 Premium on a 36 month/12k term. The S5 would be awesome if the money factor wasn’t so high. The TT also has a decent residual / money factor combination.

November 2008 Lease Rates for 09 Audi A4, Q7 and TT

My Take: Here are the remaining lease rates for the 09 Audi lineup. Compared to the previous post, these are the “better” leases in my opinion. The A4 is still leasing for about the same, but folks seem to be able to get deeper discounts on the sale price compared to a few months ago. Too bad TMV doesn’t reflect this. They are still estimating that most people pay MSRP for the A4…seriously, who in their right mind would pay MSRP in these economic times!?!

My Take: The TT leases look good enough to look into this month. Unfortunately, there isn’t any dealer or manufacturer cash floating around, so you will need to put on your negotiator hat for this one. Just keep in mind that this is a buyers market, so if you have any reservations about the deal, walk away from it. As for me, I doubt this car will ever see the comforts of my garage. The bargain hunter in me cannot justify a 4cyl two-seater that costs well over $40k equipped the way I like it.

September 2008 Lease Rate for 09 Audi TT

My Take: The TT leases are look “okay” right now. The effective interest rate on the model below is around 2.6%. The residual could be better. I personally feel that this car should lease in the low $400s for a base model at invoice, instead of high $400s (dropping the MF to something like .00002 would do the trick. Add tax and a couple options and you’re looking at an extra $100 per month, which doesn’t look at that attractive. Still cheaper than a 135i Convertible though, but you’ll be missing a “back seat”.

The closest thing to a “deal” is the Q7, but it’s residual value is so bad that I really don’t recommend leasing any of these cars right now. Just for kicks, I will analyze the R8’s lease payments. I’ve always wondered how much one of these costs…
