2010 Mercedes Benz C-Class Lease Rates – November 2009

logo_benzMy Take: Wow, damn MBFS for making do this on a Friday night! Regardless, I couldn’t skip town without posting the latest (and greatest) stuff that MB has come out with this month. The C-Class got a big drop (for the most part) in the Money Factor department this month with the residual values staying intacted. I don’t have to explain to you why this is a good thing. If you have to ask me why, I would recommend you to take a visit to the Leasing 101 section of this website.

I’m really digging the C-Class this month. Specially the C300s, not so much the C350 and C63. They are highly recommended since you are going from a 4.2% interest rate down to a 2.2% interest without a drop in residual value. That pretty much spells savings right there. I will probably put the C300 on The List when I return, so feel free to begin your dealer inquires on the C this month.

2010 BMW 1-Series Lease Rates – November 2009

logo_bmwMy Take: Just like the 3-series, the 1-series is also getting a little bit of love from BMWFS. However, there isn’t a $2500 rebate on the 135i, only $1500 for bother the 128 and the 135. Better than nothing I guess. The good news is that you get the cash, same residual as last month and a lower money factor. This means that this month, the 1-series is cheaper to lease than last. Good news for those shopping for a 1-series. The rebates will be around until early January, so be sure to take advantage of them. I also suspect that the current lease rates from BMWFS will be around until January 4th, 2010.

2010 BMW 3-Series Lease Rates – November 2009

logo_bmwMy Take: Happy Friday everyone! I’ll be out of town this weekend (again) so I’ll leave you with the latest BMW lease rates I found. BMWFS made some minor residual increases for some trims, but models got hit with a higher MF this month. Good news is that there is some holiday cash available for lessees. The 328i trims get $1500 and the 335i trims get $2500. Even the M3 gets a little love with $1500. You only get this cash if you lease or finance through BMWFS, so if you plan to pay cash or finance through your own bank, you won’t qualify. This is a mfg to consumer rebate, so make sure you get some discounts from your dealer as well.

On a side note, there have been a rash of fuel injector problems on the 335i engine according to a few friends of mine who drive them. When you lease, that’s not a huge deal, but the hassle of having to take the car in for service is a factor (at least for me) in the overall ownership/leasing experience of a car. Just a little FYI in case you were shopping for a 335i.

2010 Honda Odyssey Lease Rates – November 2009

logo_hondaMy Take: Wow, the Odyssey has better lease rates than an Acura MDX. Not the same ride, obviously, but they are both technically family haulers. Looks pretty good, even with the RES. Expect residuals to keep dropping as we get into the next year, so now is not a bad time to get an Odyssey. The MF is fairly low so its definitely worth looking into if you don’t mind driving a minivan. I say that because some people, such as myself, wouldn’t drive minivans no matter how practical they are.

2009 Acura MDX Lease Rates – November 2009

logo_acuraMy Take: There is $2,000 dealer cash available on remaining 2009 MDX. I’m not sure when the 2010s will be rolling in, but I’m guessing its not too far off. The ZDX should be arriving in the next month or so (this winter), so maybe they will bring the 2010 MDX around the same time. Residual value on this truck really blows, but the cash helps. Decent lease, not great.

2010 MINI Cooper Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_miniUpdate: Found the rest of the rates for all Coopers. My Take: The 2010 MINI numbers as not as good as the 2009 models due to a huge hit on the residual values for the newers models. My recommendation would be to shop for any remaining 2009 model because you will get a better deal out of them. The October lease rates shoulbe the same as the September numbers for all 2009 models.

2010 Subaru Outback, Impreza, Legacy Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_subbyUpdate: Updated some of the lease rates for the Outback and Impreza. My Take: Since I didn’t feel like splitting the different Subaru models, I’m decided to cram them all into one post. Anyway, I’m loving the residuals here. The MF is a bit weak though, but certainly not a deal-breaker. I think the price tags of these vehicles are low enough to keep the payments reasonable for most folks (That excludes the STi). As you probably noticed in my OC Auto Show pics, the STi looks pimp in the pearlescent white. Overall, my recommendation is to be aggressive with the sale price, bring it down the payments. Lease rates are usually what they are. Residual are set by the bank, so are the money factors. Sometimes you will find a dealer or two that will bump the MF to make extra money, but you can usually fix that by arguing for it OR putting a security deposit.

2009/2010 VW Tiguan, CC, Jetta, GTI, Golf, Eos Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_vwMy Take: Took me longer than expect to wrap up all the lease rates I’ve found, bit this is the last bit. I do have numbers for the Toyota Venza, but due to the fact that not all options can be residualized (weird thing to do Toyota), the residual value is probably inaccurate. In any case, here is a collection of VWs I’ve found. As I mentioned before, my folks got a Tiguan earlier this month and they love it. I would lease one right now due to the low residual value and lack of cash. The CC is a pretty good deal right now because there are being heavily discounted right now. In any case, browse through the list and see what catches your eye. Remember that the key is the sale price. Stop negotiation payments. You have to negotiate sale prices and watch for the any fees that seem too high.
