logo_audi My Take: I am only posting these numbers because I felt like posting a picture of the R8. As far as the lease rates go, I would pass on both the A8 and R8. Too expensive, but I am sure some of you with businesses or deep pockets can afford it. 🙂

2010 Audi A3, A6, TT Lease Rates – December 2009

logo_audi My Take: Just like other Audi models, the A3, A6 and TT have the same 24 and 36 month lease rates as November, but a lower money factor for the 48-month term in December. My recommendation would be to stick with models that have high residual and low money factors if you can live with a more “stripped down” version (base models tend to have higher residuals and lower money factors). If you can’t, expect to pay a bit more for the extras. Either way, Audi lease rates for the A3 and A6 are not bad this month and you should be able to get the security deposit waived. The TT numbers rarely look good so I would look elsewhere unless you plan to buy.

logo_audi My Take: As expected, nothing really changed here as well, except the 48-month lease being slightly less that before. Please make sure to deal with a dealer that will disclose the lease rates because these things are essential in order to negotiate a fair price and payment. There are simply way too many factors in the lease formula, so you need to make sure to you cross-check those numbers. Even if you negotiate a sweet selling price, you could easily give up all those savings by getting suck with a crappy money factor or too many fees. Remember that dealer can and will sometimes pad the money factor or tack on extra fees to offset the lower selling price. Be on the look out for those things and always err on the side of caution.

2010 Audi A5, S5 Lease Rates – December 2009

logo_audi My Take: There’s is a slight change in the lease rates for the A5/S5 this month, however, if you are going with a 24 or 36 month lease, it won’t affect you. The change is strictly on the 48-month lease, which gets a drop in the money factor, making the 48-month lease a little cheaper than last month. Not that it really matters since you shouldn’t really be considering 48-month leases right now on ANY Audi due to wear and tear.

logo_infiniti UPDATE: Full listing of all G37 December rates is out! Check it out! They all look very good this month considering the 2010 model should be coming in January. If anyone in your home is a current IFS customer, you should also qualify for the loyalty cash, making things a bit sweeter.

My Take: I know, its kind of weird that I split the 2009 and the 2010 M35s, but I thought it might make better sense to sort them by years instead of model. Either way, I don’t think you will have a tough time keeping up with my inconsistancies. Haahaa. Anyway, money factors are low now on the 2009s. I think there’s some cash on the M35s right as well, so take advantage of that. Just a general rule of thumb, if you see any marketing or dealer cash, it’s probably not available for leasing. IFS hasn’t really allowed much (or any) of the marketing/dealer available for leasing. There should be loyalty cash available to help. G37s 2010 models should be rolling in around January, so I think now is probably going to be the better time to get one than when the 2010s roll out. There are exceptions to this, however, I generally see the lease rates get really bad for remaining 2009s because banks would rather have you buy them than lease them.

logo_jag My Take: How rare is this? I actually found a Jag lease rate worth posting? Well, sort of. I wouldn’t say it’s WORTH posting, but its certainly MUCH lower than I ever expected. Just be careful with Jags, Quality Isn’t Job One, anymore (not that Ford was doing a great job to begin with. Haahaa).

2010 Volkswagen CC Lease Rates – December 2009

logo_vw My Take: I couldn’t find a single 36-month lease rate. VW seems to be pushing the 39 month lease by making it really attractive. I am fairly impressed with the CC personally. I think the front of the car is a bit bland, but from the side, it has the lines of a MB CLS, which is pretty cool. Anyway, the seats could be a more comfortable, but the bucket seats do hold you well and the dash is first class. Aside from the “Transmission” problems Ursus mentioned last month, I have no problems recommending this ride. Just be careful with the 39-month terms, as you know, I’m not super fond of them unless you are saving a good chunk of change over the 36-month leases. Specially here in CA, where our DMV registration has practically doubled from last year, it gets expensive to pay this twice in one year.

logo_infiniti My Take: I’m a bit pissed off that Inifiniti did not show up at the LA Auto Show. I need some photos! Anyway, Here are some of the 2010 offerings. Surprisingly enough, the 2010 M is already getting HUGE drop in MF. The residual is weak as heck though, so that would explain why. Lower residual values now may actually be a good thing when the economy recovers in a few years. As we get out of this recession, we may start seeing the depreciation of these cars slow down, making them worth more than their payoffs. This is all hypothetical of course, if we fall into a “W” recession, expect values to keep dropping.
