2010-11 Nissan Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_nissanMy Take: Sorry folks, but I don’t have much in terms of numbers for Nissans this month. The 39-month lease for the Maxima SV looks decent, but I hear the cash incentives are gone. Keep your eyes out for this month’s Round-Up to see how the Maxima fares against the competition.

2010-11 Honda Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_hondaUpdate: The Crosstour must be selling like crap because Honda seems to be trying to move that quite desperately. I am not very fond of this gigantic Accord due to it’s odd styling and poor driving dynamics, but I can’t deny it’s practicality. If you need room thought, I would opt for the Odyssey or the Pilot. Sure, they aren’t pretty either, but they get the job done.

2010-11 Lexus Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_lexusMy Take: Nothing too exciting here. The RX450h’s 48-month lease does look somewhat promising since the residual is pretty decent and the MF is not too bad either. Divide all that over 48-months and your payments should look manageable.

2010-11 Hyundai Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_hyundaiMy Take: Sonata lease rates continue to look good, as a matter of fact, they look the same as last month. The Genesis looks decent, with the 2011 sedan looking much better than the couple right now. Of course, being a 2010, the coupe could get more substantial discounts to offset the higher MF.

2011 Audi Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_audiUpdate: Tarry of LeaseCompare.com has come through for us once more. He’s finally released the September Audi Lease rates so here’s the complete list. Audi residuals are not known to be high, but their money factors don’t look so bad in most cases. Not a bad month for Audis!

My Take: I am extremely bummed to see that no Audi lease rates were available last month. This month’s Audi numbers will probably remain sketchy as well since Tarry hasn’t provided me with complete Audi lease rates since July. Lease rates are hard to come by, so if you happen to come across any numbers please share them with the rest of us. Thanks!

2011 Audis look good so far, so no major complaints here. Remember to keep an eye out on the money factor and residual value. The best way to spot a potential good lease is to watch for a low mf (typically below 0.001) AND a high residual value (I prefer cars that have at least a 55% residual value over 36 months at 15k miles per year). Once you have determined that, hop over to TrueCar to see what kind of selling price this car is going for around your neck of the woods. Punch in the number into the lease calculator and that should give you a good idea as to how much it should costly per month.

2010-11 Ford Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_fordMy Take: The last time I posted lease rates from Ford was back in March 2009 and they didn’t look anywhere near as good as what these look like now. I’m actually quite impressed with the 2011 Ford Edge. The auto magazines have given it pretty decent reviews so it seems promising. The lease rates are not too horrible, but certainly not as good as other luxury brands. I am a bit baffled as to why Ford would price the Edge around the same price as other Luxury crossovers. A Ford SEL FWD with all the bells and whistles costs just as much as an Acura RDX Tech. Which one would you take? I would take the RDX since Acura has arguably the best lease program around and has a longer warranty. Here’s some food for thought, if a “middle-of-the-road” Edge costs approximately $36k, how much is do you think the Lincoln MKX is gonna run? A heck more than it should.

2010 Mazda Lease Rates – September 2010

logo_mazdaMy Take: There is $1000 that can be used for leasing, but it seem that you can’t use the captive bank, so you will need a 3rd party bank to finance your lease. There is also loyalty and early termination cash, so make sure to discuss them with your dealer to see if you qualify. These cash incentives are schedule to run through the end of the month. The CX-9 doesn’t look too bad since the money factor is low, but so is the residual. Depending on your intentions at lease-end, this could prove to be a good lease. Personally, I would just buy the car at 0.0% APR for 60 months. Nothing beats 0% interest over 5 years.
