Nissan shifted around some more numbers this month. Quite frankly, I haven’t been able to make too much sense of the trends. We all know residuals will drop regardless, but the MFs seem to be all over the place. For some, it makes sense, for others, not so much. Sure, some models are mainly purchased, so you won’t see much in terms of support. But really, .00185 for the Cube? Really?

2013 Hyundai Lease Rates – July 2013
July numbers look the same it seems. Not seeing anything different than the last couple of months.
I’m still really surprised they are leasing out the Tucson still. Why would you lease one of those when you can opt for the Santa Fe? Baffles the mind I tell you.

2013 Mercedes Benz Lease Rates – July 2013
Some residuals dropped but I didn’t much in terms of mf drops. If anything, I saw increases. The rates aren’t looking good for the summer so far and I’m not expecting them to improve in August. Let us hope that things improve in the Fall. The only positive thing I’m seeing is that TrueCar data suggests a good range of discounts (some as much as 14% off MSRP for a C350). I wouldn’t assuming that that’s the current selling price, but I certainly would not be afraid to ask for that type of a discount.

2013 Volkswagen Lease Rates – July 2013
Pretty much the typical residual/mf drop that is usually anticipated when lease rates change. There are a couple of exceptions though: Passat, Jetta, EOS, Touareg. These models got a MF increase. However, it is not all bad news if you plan on leasing one of those four models. Typically, when MFs go up, there’s usually some lease cash available to help keep payments around the same ballpark as the previous month. Take the Jetta for example, there’s “marketing” cash available on leases/retail purchases. The Passat has some lease cash too.

2013 Audi Lease Rates – July 2013
Pretty much the usual residual/money factor drop here. It is highly likely that the numbers remain the same next month these lease rates should be good for some time.
I did get manage to get the S6 numbers this month, they don’t look all that great.

2013-14 BMW Lease Rates – July 2013
Aside from the 2014s numbers, I’m not seeing much in terms of changes for this month. Rather unusual for BMW numbers to remain the same for such extended period of time, but not unheard of. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the numbers change mid-month either. That’s certainly not uncommon for BMW to do either. I do have to say that the rates look pretty decent so the key is getting a competitive sale price. That’s usually the biggest challenge with BMWs because of the “extras” and the padding that sometimes happens when trying to lease one of these vehicles.
