logo_audi My Take: Notable leases…A6 3.0L quattro Premium (Plus), A6 3.2L Premium (Plus). Prestige isn’t really worth it. I would recommmed buying if you want all those bells and whistles. I mean, you will be paying for more than 50% of the car as is, why not just by the whole thing. Same goes for the A8. R8 leases are for those with really deep pockets, I’m not one of them.

logo_audi My Take: Hurray for super-low money factors! And that’s about it. Residuals leave a lot to be desired, but this shouldn’t come to you as a shock by now. Unless you are looking at a TDI model or the ever popular A4s, you probably won’t see residual going too far above 50% for the 36-month term. Earlier in the month, George Adams requested a quick estimate of what a R8 would cost to lease. Well George, don’t get too excited. Lets assume best case scenerio here…$123,600 MSRP, $115,179 invoice, .00255 MF, 35% Res (10k per year)….$2401 per month + tax. And I didn’t even add the inception fees yet. Your best bet? Go with a 3rd party lender like US Bank, Wells or use LeaseCompare to see if you can get more attractive rates because 0.00255 isn’t that hard to beat.

UPDATED Audi Lease Rates for Nov-Dec 2008

My Take: Audi Financial updated the lease rates yesterday. At first glance, you’ll noticed the money factor was slashed for the A3. The A4 stays relatively unchanged. There a lot of money factor reductions for some of the other cars on their line up. Take the time to look things over to see if there’s something worth leasing here. I personally would look into the A3 2.0T Quattro or the A4 Premium on a 36 month/12k term. The S5 would be awesome if the money factor wasn’t so high. The TT also has a decent residual / money factor combination.

August 2008 Lease Rate for 08/09 Audi Models

My Take: Here are the numbers for the remainder of the Audi lineup. I would analyze each individual model, but there just aren’t any deals to be had here. The closest thing to a “deal” is the Q7, but it’s residual value is so bad that I really don’t recommend leasing any of these cars right now. Just for kicks, I will analyze the R8’s lease payments. I’ve always wondered how much one of these costs…

My Take: Aside for that carbon fiber panel on the side of the car, this ride is HOT!!! Not sure I want to pay a money factor of .00302 though, specially considering the residual is so low. The car is oh so SWEET though, I think I’d buy it if I had the money. There should be a convertible coming soon, now that’s a fun car for SoCal summers.
