logo_audi My Take: Like always, the Q7 has a really low residual value and a low money factor. Ideally, the money factor should be lower to compensate for the low residuals, but I think the Q7 is selling at or below invoice nowadays, which isn’t too bad.

logo_audi My Take: I think the Q7 is a good “lease-to-buy” candidate due to the low money factor and low residual value. No inceptives available on the Q7 other than “special” financing. I use the term losely because 4.9% for 60 months is FAR from special. More reason to lease first then buyout the lease if you intend to keep the car, right?

UPDATED Audi Lease Rates for Nov-Dec 2008

My Take: Audi Financial updated the lease rates yesterday. At first glance, you’ll noticed the money factor was slashed for the A3. The A4 stays relatively unchanged. There a lot of money factor reductions for some of the other cars on their line up. Take the time to look things over to see if there’s something worth leasing here. I personally would look into the A3 2.0T Quattro or the A4 Premium on a 36 month/12k term. The S5 would be awesome if the money factor wasn’t so high. The TT also has a decent residual / money factor combination.

November 2008 Lease Rates for 09 Audi A4, Q7 and TT

My Take: Here are the remaining lease rates for the 09 Audi lineup. Compared to the previous post, these are the “better” leases in my opinion. The A4 is still leasing for about the same, but folks seem to be able to get deeper discounts on the sale price compared to a few months ago. Too bad TMV doesn’t reflect this. They are still estimating that most people pay MSRP for the A4…seriously, who in their right mind would pay MSRP in these economic times!?!

September 2008 Lease Rate for 09 Audi Q7

My Take: To be honest, now is not the time to lease an Audi SUV. Knowing how much these SUV’s go for, they certainly won’t be good leases unless lower MF is introduced and cash rebates are given to compensate for the poor residual values. No cash is available on this model, however, you can get 4.9% financing for up to 60 months. Whether you lease or buy, there’s not much of a “deal” here.

The closest thing to a “deal” is the Q7, but it’s residual value is so bad that I really don’t recommend leasing any of these cars right now. Just for kicks, I will analyze the R8’s lease payments. I’ve always wondered how much one of these costs…
