09 Audi TT Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_audiMy Take: Looking for a fun summer cruiser? Keep looking. The TT’s numbers are less than desirable this month, so I would recommend passing on these. If you plan to buy however, it might not be so bad since you can probably get them at invoice. Unfortunately, I don’t seen any special financing available, so you going with your own bank or paying cash may be the better alternative.

09 Subaru Legacy Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_subbyMy Take: The Subby Legacy’s 36-month lease is supposed to be the best deal, but the residual value is too low while the money factor is still too high to make it a great deal. I would recommend skipping this lease for now. There isn’t much we can do about the residual, but I do think Subaru can do a better job with the money factor.

09 Audi A6 Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_audiMy Take: Hurray, more A6 3.0 are enjoying a .00005 money factor this month. By now, I don’t need to tell you what that means. Low residual values does make it hard to swallow, but you can probably bump up the residual a bit buy going with a 12k mile lease (adds 2% to your residual) plus AudiCare (adds 1% to your residual). That should save you some money in the long run. Stay clear from the Avants for now, they don’t look very good.

09 Audi A3 Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_audiMy Take: The A3 isn’t a bad “lease-to-own” candidate due to the low residual value and low money factor. The money factor COULD be lower however, but I can’t complain too much. The one that stands out the most from the list is probably the 2009 Audi A3 2.0T quattro since it has the highest residual value and a sub .001 money factor, which is about 2% APR. Alternatively, you could go with any of the S-Lines and lower your yearly mileage allowance, that should give you a pretty decent monthly payment as well. If you are a current Audi owner, you should qualify for the $1000 loyalty cash that’s currently available on the A3.

09 VW CC Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_vwMy Take: There is $1000 customer cash on the VW CCs this month if you finance through their financing arm, so be sure to factor that into your calculations. The lease rates look pretty decent to me, so I would definitely recommend taking this ride for a spin and see what kind of deal you can pull off. Now, regarding the “special financing”, there really isn’t anything special about it. The shorter terms have a lower APR while the higher terms pretty much screw you over at a 6.4% APR for 66 months. Couple of things to keep in mind, the CC leases best at 36-months, so be sure not to go under or beyond that. The 24-month lease is a bit low on residual, with only a 4% increase. You can increase your 36-month residual by 3% by opting for the 10k mile lease, so it is pretty clear VW is trying to discourage you from going with the 24-month lease. Another thing to watch out is that not all CCs are created equal. The sport trim has the highest residual value, which will yield the lowest monthly payment. Now the 48-month lease is the cheapest, but I would stay away from it unless you don’t mind the extra costs that come with being out of warranty and replacing tires. In most cases, stock tires should last until the 36th month of your lease if you do regular rotations and don’t drive aggressively. With 48-month terms, you are pretty much guaranteed to replace them by the time your lease matures, so don’t let the “lower” payment fool you!

UPDATE: the $1000 has been pulled. Bummer. I know.

09 Nissan Maxima, Rogue, Murano Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_nissanMy Take: Ever wonder why Hondas, Nissans or Toyotas don’t offer very good 48-month leases? That’s because their warranties are only 36-months long, so make sure you don’t go beyond that. Anyway, sorry for the bundle post. I am just trying to get these numbers out there for you as quick as I can. The Maxima is probably the better lease of the three cars in this post. The money factor is high and the residual is pretty decent. Stay away from the Rogue. You may want to consider the Murano since it has about $2500 worth in customer rebates (click here to see if you qualify for any of them).

09 Acura MDX Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_acuraMy Take: New month, same lease rates. If you where waiting for the MDX payments to drop, you will have to wait a little bit longer. I think that the money factor still could use some reduction, so hopefully Honda will do themselves a favor and lower it so they can move some cars. There is $2000 in marketing support cash on the MDX however, so that should help ease the pain if you really need to get a new family hauler. Speaking of SUVs, some of you should have probably heard that Honda will be releasing the ZDX soon. Here’s a little excerp from Bloomberg.com and a pic from MotorTrend.com

Acura ZDX

“The V-6 engine ZDX, the first Acura designed by a woman, will be built at Honda’s Alliston, Ontario, plant where MDX is produced, Spencer said. The new Acura competes with Bayerische Motoren Werke AG’s BMW X6 crossover, introduced last year.

The model will be priced “in between MDX and the RL” sedan, he said. The 2009 MDX is priced from $40,990 while the top-end RL sedan sells for as much as $54,100, according to the company’s Web site. “

Are you excited? I certainly am. Major props to the lady that designed the ZDX. Not just because she did an excellent job, but also because I believe the percentage of female auto designers is like 0.2% or something of that nature.

08/09 Infiniti EX, FX Lease Rates – April 2009

logo_infinitiMy Take: Nothing has changed this month on the EX35 or the FX35 leases. The rates are identical to last month’s numbers, which is rather disappointing because the marketing cash is gone as well. Instead, you get a whooping $500 sell down cash and that’s about it (only on the EX35). Not exactly what you wanted to hear, I know, but there is always next month!
