My Take: The A5 looks much better in the 2.0 trim than in the 3.2. Things may be looking up for the A5, finally. The MF still needs a little work, but if you insist on getting into one, MSDs baby. That’s my recommendation. MSDs seem to be arbitrary, just because one dealer doesn’t want to offer it, does not mean all of them won’t. Check around.

My Take: Here’s the sweet spot for the Altima S Sedan this month (see below). Pretty sweet if you ask me. Worthy of The List. The are also a bunch of rebates for customers, so getting a “below invoice” price, shouldn’t be all that difficult. I’ve driven the 4cyl S sedan before (as a rental) and it’s actually quite impressive. The interior is well-appointed (very similar to Infiniti G37s) and the engine is actually has a kick to it. Pretty good commuter car if you ask me. 
Update: Added 2010 RDX FWD and FWD with Tech Lease Rates. My Take: Residual values from August remain steady for September, while the money factor has dropped. This is good news for those looking to lease the RDX because it’s cheaper than last month! When it comes to 2010 models with really bad lease rates, it is really worth your time to wait. You know eventually the numbers will drop. If they don’t, you probably shouldn’t be leasing it anyway.
My Take: Nothing too exciting to announce here. 2010 6-series is unchanged from last month. 2010 7-series is as aweful as usual. 2009 are looking a bit better still. Just remember not to wait too long; As we enter the 2010 model year, 2009 selection dwindles and leases become less attractive due to the lower residual value. Feel free to pass on both of these vehicles this month, but keep a watchful eye on the 2009.
