2009 Infiniti G37 Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_infinitiUPDATE: Added the Journey Coupe. My Take: Lease rates on the G37 are practically unchanged from September. I’ve added the G37X coupe to the mix. I will update this post as I find more information for the remaining rates on the G37 coupes. The numbers on the sedan are pretty solid. The coupe looks alright as well, the MF is a tad high, but the residual offsets the MF fairly well.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_hyundaiMy Take: As you know, my wife was quite impressed with the Genesis Coupe at the OC Auto Show. So much that she was dissing my G37 as having a “big butt” compared to the Genesis Coupe. Booh! Anyway, The sedan numbers suck, even with $1000 cash laying around. The coupe, on the other hand, looks promising.

2010 Honda Odyssey Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_hondaMy Take: Not much to say about the Odyssey. The numbers look so-so, but expect the lower end models without RES and NAV to have better residual (and a lower price tag). Personally, I’d rather drive a SUV than a mini-van. However, if I ever decided to open up an airport shuttling business, the Odyssey would be my minivan of choice.

2009 Acura TL, MDX Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_acuraMy Take: Alright peeps. This has been both a slow month and a busy month for me. Slow meaning that a lot of the lease rates were had to find. Busy because I’ve been out of town a lot and occupied with “life” issues and finding time for some “R&R”. Nevertheless, I spend these last couple days digging and digging all over the place to find some rates and I’ve found some! So get ready for a flood of lease rates in the next 24 hrs. For those who think I’m not checking the forum’s requests page, think again. I do and I will say this. Don’t bother asking for cars like the Land Rover because their lease rates are bad probably 11 months out of 12. We’re talking 8-9% interest rates here, so don’t bother. Ditto on most brands related to American manufacturers. I do on occasion keep and eye out for some American brands that may have good lease support, but those are going to be spotty. Anyway, this post is about my take on the TL so let me get to that. The numbers remain unchanged from September, which is pretty decent. I added the SH-AWD with Tech into the mix for those shopping for the AWD model. The numbers look decent plus there is $2500 in dealer cash that you can combine with the lease rates listed below. I’m telling you. This is NOT a bad month to snag a TL if you dig the looks. 2010s are out, so this is effectively a fire sale. Shoot for invoice plus the dealer cash for a $2500 under invoice sale price. To get the best bang for the buck, shoot for the Base TL (unless you really need the navi and all the Technological goodness).

For the MDX, there is $2000 dealer cash available, but I don’t think that cash can save this lease to be honest. The dealer would have to dip below invoice THEN add the dealer cash. Then maybe, just maybe, you can get a good lease out of this.

2010 Acura TSX Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_acuraMy Take: I think the base TSX V6 looks pretty good. Get into a 10k miles per year and you are looking an excellent residual and a very reasonable money factor. Not really a bad time to get into a TSX, but you have to be aggressive with the sale price meaning, try to get as close to invoice as possible.

I’d like to add that the TSX V6 is also getting $1500 in dealer cash this month. So being the dealer hunter that I am, I will paint a nice little scenario for ya:

2010 TSX V6 base
MSRP 35,660
Sale 31349 (invoice + dealer cash)
Monthly $387 + tax.

Inception fees would be about $1300-$1500 for the 1st month, dmv, tire tax, bank & dealer fees.

Not too bad for a $35,000 dollar car if you ask me.

2010 Audi A6, S6, A8 Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_audiMy Take: The S6 and the A8 do not look very good this month. The A6 on the other hand, looks decent. They could have improved the residual value a bit, but the money factors looks better than most. Not exactly a recommendation, but I wouldn’t spend much time discouraging you from leasing one either. It all depends on the sale price.

2009 Mercedes Benz CLK, G, SL, SLK Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_benzMy Take: There are still some decent leases on leftover 2009 Mercedes Benz models, but you’ll have to be aggressive with the sale price. Take the SL550 for example. .00020 MF breaks down to about 0.48% APR, you can do a 10k mile per year lease and your residual should jump to 50%. Pretty solid if you ask me. The CLK convertibles and SLK300 and SLK350 should also be considered due to their resonable money factors. We’re nearing the end of the year, so whatever you see on the lot, is probably what you are gonna get, so if you find something you like. I recommend that you do something about it.

2010 Mercedes Benz ML, R Lease Rates – October 2009

logo_benzMy Take: The R-Class is a very “market-specific” vehicle, so its not for everyone. As you can see, the lease rates prove that. Personally, I’d rather get into a ML350 than the R350 since it has a better residual and better money factor. Speaking of the ML, I’m digging the ML350 4matic this month. 50% residual, .00102 is a decent combination. Not great, but decent. This is MB we’re talking about, so don’t expect to see super high residuals.
