2011-12 Volkswagen Lease Rates – March 2011

Residuals have dropped 1% through the entire VW lineup this month. VWC did not drop the money factors to compensate, however, not all is lost. VW is offering lease cash on many of their cars, which should compensate for the residual loss and the lack of MF reduction. Check out Edmund’s VW Incentives to see what they got going on this month.

As you can see below, if you take last month’s sale price and tack on the $750 lease cash, you’d be looking at a pretty sweet deal on the CC.
Another car that looks good is the Tiguan. There’s $250 lease cash available, so assuming last month’s sale price minus the lease cash, you’re also looking a good payment on a nice compact SUV.

2011 Infiniti Lease Rates – March 2011

As expected, Infiniti residuals have pretty much dropped across the board. The good news is that IFS did adjust the money factors to keep the payments at around the same range as last month. Not how the G25 is looking like the more expensive lease compared to the G37 Journey sedan. I suspect this is going to make leasing a 25 or a 37 a tough decision. Haahaa. Anyway, there are rebates available so be sure to ask your dealer about them.

Almost the entire Infiniti line-up leases well, so if you aren’t looking at the Gs, the Ms, FXs and EXs aren’t too terrible either.

2011 Infiniti Lease Rates – February 2011

Update! Last week, I got an email from VC (a long time reader of this blog) and here’s the deal he got on a G37…

The MF was .00147(regular) and i put 9msd(max of .0001) reduction…..bringing a total of [.00147-.0009) = a reduced MF of .00057 Each deposit was $400(x9) = 3600.

Essentially I put 3600 due(100% refundable)…..plus $1180(registration…aqq fee…dealer fee)…plus another 1000(infiniti owner loyalty rebate). for a total of $ $5800 due upfront.

So essentially only $1180 due, since 1k is rebate, and the 3600 is completely refunded.

They took close to 5k off msrp, plus another 1k(infiniti owner loyalty bonus cash…used towards cap-cost reduction).

so with about 1180 due, plus the MSD. i got the payment to be $280 a month!!! i got this one fully loaded too. navi, premium, spoiler, etc.

msrp was 46,800. January had a $500 detroit auto show bonus cash, so that helped too. make sure you let people know, the G37x coupe is great deal, ESPECIALLY on 24month lease right now.

Wondering if February rates are still the same? They are! IFS carried over their lease rates from January into February, with the exception of the G37 Convertible Sport, that one gets a 3% bump in residual and a 0.00001 increase in the MF. Despite this “good news”, I am expecting IFS to modify their rates in March. It is rare that lease rates remain the same for more than two months, so if you like these numbers, make sure you cut a deal this month.

I think the G37 Journey gives you more bang for the buck, but if you don’t need the extra power, go with the G25.

As a special bonus from our sponsor, the G37 IPL rates are also posted. Enjoy!

2011 Subaru Lease Rates – February 2011

I was hoping the Forester XT Touring would have better numbers, but unfortunately, the high residual seems to be killing the deal right now. I don’t the 2.5X is going to do better, so I don’t recommend either of those this month. The 2.5i Impreza probably won’t be grazing my Round-Up this month either.

Alternatively, the Legacy 3.6R Premium looks good, chiming in at a reasonable 90.5 RWG rating and about $293 per month before taxes (inception fees due at signing).

2011 Mazda Lease Rates – February 2011

Wow, check out the Mazda3 s Hatchback Sport! Insane residual, low money factor. Lots of zoom-zoom for very little cash! I smell a new king of the Round-Up! If you go with a 12,000 mile lease, the numbers get even more interesting. 12k is recommended since Mazda’s bumper-to-bumper warranty is only 36/36k miles. I leased one back in 2004 for 48 months, which was a bad idea. I was quite fortunate since I didn’t have any problems that required major repairs, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing that. The CX9 should get an honorable mention in the Round-Up this month as well since it’s a good deal as well.

2011 Hyundai Lease Rates – February 2011

Elantra lease rates added!

Word is that Hyundai kept their lease program the same for February. So you get another do-over in case you missed out last month. The Sonata is a very good deal right now. In some markets, you can get upwards of 10% off MSRP. I’m showing about 6% on the Sonata SE Turbo in my neck of the woods (7% on the Limited Turbo). Out East last month, Joe02 managed to get a better discount on the Limited Turbo. Lucky!

2011 Ford Lease Rates – February 2011

Looks like Ford’s Explorer has decent lease rates this month. The residual is fair and so is the money factor (on the XLT model). The challenge would be getting dealers to discount the car enough so that the payments fall within a reasonable range. A few things to note on the Explorer. There are a lot of cash rebates available, but not all will qualify. The $1000 cash incentive being promoted right now is not applicable to lessees. However, if you currently own or lease a 1995 or newer Explorer, Sport Trac, Freestyle, Taurus X or Mountaineer, you get a whopping $1500 bucks toward the lease of a new Explorer. There are other rebates that can be found by going to Edmunds.com.

As you can see in my calculations, the Explorer still needs a little work. The rates are okay, but the discounts are still lacking. I think the deal would be much better if you qualify for any of Ford’s rebates.

2011-12 Volvo Lease Rates – February 2011

There has been a slight improvement with Volvos this month! Here’s the skinny…The 2011 S60s have $2000 dealer cash, and the 2011 S80s have $1000 dealer cash. There is also $1000 loyalty cash available on all vehicles towards leases. The Volvo base acquisition fee is $695.

The 2011 S60 looks like a winner this month. It has a solid residual and an acceptable money factor. The discounts are deep since the 2012 model is already out. Without factoring the loyalty cash, I am already getting a 91.4 rating. This would make the S60 the first Volvo to get an honorable mention on this month’s Round Up. Talk about historic! See sample calculation below.

This information has been provided by Rman850r, who has been instrumental in providing this site with Volvo numbers. Lease rate was made available by the good folks at North Point Volvo. If you are in or near the Alpharetta, GA area and looking for a Volvo, please give them a call.
