My Take: Good News! The A5 is a VERY sweet car. Bad News! The rates STILL suck. A5 looks sweetest in black. The accent lighting on the headlights makes the car look super-futuristic and gives off an “oooh-ahhhh” type of reaction, kind of like BMWs “Halo” lighting. It may take some months before we start seeing better lease rates on the A5. Hopefully, your lease isn’t expiring too soon if you are aiming for the A5. Just keep your eyes peeled on the rates every month, and the moment they drop to your price range, jump on it. That’s what I did with my G37 and I think I got the best deal of the year thus far.

My Take: The “Land Shark” has started to show it’s age, so it looks like BMW is looking to push these cars out the dealer lots a bit. Note the slightly lower MFs and fairly high residual values. There’s a new Z4 in the horizon. Check it out! Not exactly getting my blood boiling with excitement, but I’m rather sick of looking at the current Z4.

My Take: Looks like Caddy inflated the residuals for the STS and kept the MF relatively decent. Ugh…I really can’t say too much about this car. It’s like a boat with wheels, probably drives like one too. Life. Liberty. and the Pursuit….of what? The only Caddy worth it’s metal and rubber is the CTS. That’s about it. Looks like Caddy will be doing some “pursuing” for a while. I’ll take an E-Class any day over the STS…Any given day.

My Take: This probably my favorite MB sedan. This is also MBs bread and butter from what I understand. The MF is pretty low (by MB standards) on most of the E models, with residual values a bit higher than the CL, CLK, CLS models I posted earlier. As mentioned last month, expect a new E-Class roll in for the 2009 model year. It’s looking GOOOOOD! See below!

My Take: The rates didn’t seem to change much from June, with the CLK being the only car worth leasing at the moment. Unfortunately the residual is still ridiculously lower than expected for a MB. Imagine paying almost 50% of that CLK within two years! OUCH! At least the MF is low enough to ease the pain. If you want a MB convertible, this is probably not a bad time to jump into one. I think MBs are meant to be bought, which isn’t unexpected. With quality issues and super expensive maintenance and repair fees, not even MB wants their cars back.

My Take: Lease rates aren’t looking very attractive right now for all X-Series models. X5 4.8 has the lowest MF right now. If you want other alternatives, check out the Land Rover Range Rover. Again, I’m not trying to pitch Fords, its just that their rates seem more attractive and they all fall under the same class of vehicles.

My Take: I don’t like leasing cars with MFs higher than .002 or around 4.8%. Actually that’s still a bit high with today’s interest rates. Not to mention all the manufacturer’s pitching 0% financing for 72 months, it makes it hard to justify leasing cars with high money factors.

My Take: I won’t lie to you, these leases are probably not even worth inquiring about because of the extremly high MF and low residual values. Even if there were some hefty cash rebates, I don’ think it would offset these horrible rates.
