logo_audi My Take: There has been a slight drop in the MF for some of the TT models, such as the TT 3.2L quattro Prestige, where the MF drops from 0.00202 to 0.00184. Significant, but not exactly a deal-maker. The residuals remain unchanged for the most part. Not a bad thing, but then again, not all that great either since the residuals are really low to begin with. Here is where things get a little interesting…AFS is offering $3000 dealer cash which can combined with the $2000 loyalty cash. It can’t, however, be used with the special 1.9% financing for 60 months (although I believe the loyalty cash still applies for both leasing and financing). If you aren’t a current Audi customer, you’re pretty much screwed. If you are, then the deal isn’t half bad. Just a reminder, we are getting closer and closer to year end, which mean, lots and lots of 2009 models have ended production. This mean, whatever its on the lot, is pretty much it. Keep that in mind as you decide whether to lease/buy now or wait a few months.

09 Audi Q5, Q7 Lease Rates – August 2009

logo_audi My Take: Apparently, June was the best month to lease the Q5 and the Q7. The money factors and residual for July and August (July and August are the same) are significantly worse than June’s which a big bummer since I was hoping that they would throw in the some cash or something in order to make room for the 2010 models. The financing on the Q5 isn’t all that great either, 4.9% for 60 months. There is $1000 loyalty cash, but I highly doubt a lot of you qualify for that. Financing for the Q7 is 2.9% for 60 months, but there aren’t any cash rebates of any kind, even for current Audi customers. Things look rather stagnant over at Audi these last few months so a big “BOOO!” to AFS for having sucky leases and incentives.

You can dig around for the A3, A6, A8 comments from July by going to the Audi Category on the left menu. Sorry for those still looking for the A5/S5s. Maybe the 2010 model’s lease rates will improve…maybe.

09 Audi Q7 Lease Rates – July 2009

logo_audi My Take: Something weird going on here…the Q7 3.6 Premium seems half decent for a “Lease-to-Buy”, low residual, low MF. But here’s the thing, Edmund’s TMV states about $2300 below invoice sale price, but I don’t see any rebates floating around. The way I feel about TMV is that whenever it shows a sale price near MSRP, I think you can do better. Whenever I see a sale price that’s way below invoice, I feel like that only applies to purchases. That has been the case for the most part, which is why I stick by that logic. Anyway, should the sale price of $2300 below invoice be attainable, then this wouldn’t be a too bad of a deal. Unfortunately, in the “real world” I haven’t seen anyone reporting that kind of money off the Q7 yet.

logo_audi My Take: I am addressing three solid Audi leases on this post. First, is the A3, which is sporting a pretty low money factor and decent residual. I recommend the A3 2.0T Premium Quattro. Audi is reknown for their Quattro system, so you just gotta have it, even if you don’t think you need. Just stay away from the 3.2 S-Line and you’ll be fine. There aren’t any major incentives right now other than the $1000 in loyalty cash for the A3. Moving on to the A6, I’m not a fan of this since I prefer the 5-series and the E-Class in terms of styling. Despite that, I cannot over look the super low money factors on the ~~3.2~~ 3.0 models. This is Audi’s way of telling you to borrow money from them for next to nothing. A6’s are notorious for big discounts too, so do your best to dip below invoice. Lastly, the Q5 is looking pretty decent so they are certainly worth a look as well. Check out these three vehicles on The List to get a feel for their monthly payment ranges. I’m not going to go out on a limb to say these guys are “must-haves”, because they are not. They just seem like better-than-usual deals, specially for an Audi.

09 Audi A4/S4 Lease Rates – July 2009

logo_audi My Take: Before I get into the A4 lease rates, I’d like to point out something about Audi that bugs me. I think they are generally overpriced, compared to their competitors. If you think about it, the 328i, G37, IS250, TL are all supposed to be “competitors” to the A4 and they all pack a much beefier engine for around the same amount of cash. Outside of Audi’s AWD and stylish exterior, I really feel like they need to really bring more “ooomph” to the playing field. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, The A4 rates are quite attractive this month. Residual are still pretty low compared to their competition, but money factors have dropped significantly. My recommendation? A4 2.0T Premium Quattro. Highest residual, lowest MF of the bunch makes for a good combination for cheaper monthly payments. The question is, is it enough? I currently do not have any Audi dealers I like, so feel free to use Yahoo Autos to get some quotes.

logo_audi My Take: There is some improvement on the TT lease rates, but nothing that can beat the Z4 at this point. The residual is lower than the Z4 and the money factor is higher. Considering they priced around the same ballpark, you will more than likely pay more on the TT than on the Z4. Move on…

logo_audi My Take: Just thought you should know how the numbers look this month. Still kinda high and this car has been out for well over a year. I get the feeling Audi isn’t planning to move the coupes any time soon. Look into a purchase, because the lease isn’t looking very good still.
