logo_audi My Take: Wow, look at the MF on the A4! That’s insane! Just as an example, I’m going to pluck out the A4 Prem Plus Sedan and make work out a payment calculation. $35,825 MSRP, $33,375 invoice. Let us assume that invoice is doable and go with that as the sale price (if you can tap below that, more power to you). This would give us a monthly payment of $441 per month plus tax, with inception due at signing. The A4 Premium sedan’s payments are even better, sitting at $374+tax per month!!! What makes it better (than before) is that the non-quattro models got a 1% increase in residual value compared to last December, so the lease has become cheaper. Of couse, they were waiving the security deposit last year, so your upfront costs were a bit lower then. Still, security deposits are fully refundable, so not a big deal there. The Quattro models did get a drop in residual compared to last December (remember I skipped January so I am not comparing this month with last), but still look fairly attractive. The A5s are also looking good, with a drop in MF and an increase in residual for the 36-month term. The 24-month term did get a drop in residual, but you shouldn’t be looking at 24-month lease terms anymore since they cost a fortunre nowadays. S-trim models get a lower MF as well. It’s official, This is a GOOD TIME to get an Audi.

logo_audi My Take: There’s is a slight change in the lease rates for the A5/S5 this month, however, if you are going with a 24 or 36 month lease, it won’t affect you. The change is strictly on the 48-month lease, which gets a drop in the money factor, making the 48-month lease a little cheaper than last month. Not that it really matters since you shouldn’t really be considering 48-month leases right now on ANY Audi due to wear and tear.

logo_audi My Take: Money factors dropped from last month, but so did the residual values. That should pretty much keep you around the same ballpark as last month. What I’d really like to see right now is a TDI version of the A4. That’d be cool. It is still a fairly good month for an Audi, so don’t sleep on this.

logo_audi My Take: A5/S5 never looked this good. Really. It’s been a while. This still far from a “THE LIST” candidate, but it’s certainly an improvement. To tell you the truth, after calculating the payments on the A3, A4 earlier, I’m not exactly feeling like they are a “great” deal. Their lease rates certainly are attractive, but the MSRP to Invoice price spread is too little, making it hard to secure a solid price. In any case, proceed with some caution on the A5/S5, the rates look very good, make sure your shop that sale price.

logo_audi My Take: The A5 looks much better in the 2.0 trim than in the 3.2. Things may be looking up for the A5, finally. The MF still needs a little work, but if you insist on getting into one, MSDs baby. That’s my recommendation. MSDs seem to be arbitrary, just because one dealer doesn’t want to offer it, does not mean all of them won’t. Check around.

You can dig around for the A3, A6, A8 comments from July by going to the Audi Category on the left menu. Sorry for those still looking for the A5/S5s. Maybe the 2010 model’s lease rates will improve…maybe.

logo_audi My Take: Just thought you should know how the numbers look this month. Still kinda high and this car has been out for well over a year. I get the feeling Audi isn’t planning to move the coupes any time soon. Look into a purchase, because the lease isn’t looking very good still.

logo_audi My Take: Prepared to be shocked! S5 money factors came down to .00289 from .00316!!! That should save you a little bit of cash there. Residual stay steady, meaning you are guaranteed a lower payment than back in May. Is this the beginning of a cheaper S5 lease? I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one, but it certainly is slightly better news. There is $1500 loyalty cash available on the A5 and it does work for lesses. Btw, don’t forget the AudiCare!!!
