My Take: Better late than never, right? Sorry, apparently, I forgot to post the A5/S5 rates for May. Lucky, you may still get a few days to use it. Thanks to Gerry for posting the question otherwise I would have never noticed. Money factors suck, residual so-so. Stick with the A5 unless you feel like pay a lot of money on interest. Better yet, if you are shopping for a S5, money shouldn’t really be an issue, should it? LOL. Hope you are all having a great weekend. I’m stuck with house cleaning and caretaker duties since the wife is out with a cold.

I dont get it. Th S5 car has been out for like over a year and half , yet –
1. Its sheer impossible to STILL find one
2. When you do, they dont budge on price and dont care if you walk out the door without a deal because someone the next day will buy it at full sticker.
3. The money factor is still the same – crappy since day one….residual has dropped a little though which doesnt help much either.
4. there are more expensive cars you can get for CHEAPER payments.
Yes, this car is a major babe lolz but I cannot justify paying 1100-1200 a month for it.
I totally agree with you Gerry. The A5/S5 is probably the best looking coupe out there, but at that price point, I’d much rather drive a Porsche or a Nissan GTR. Keep this in mind though, the S5 is a limited edition vehicle, so you can’t expect them to knock it down too much. My guess is that each dealership only has a handful of them, so they aren’t really desperate to move them.
Problem is i want to lease but their interest rate kills the deal. And going elsewhere through a third party leassing company is no different.
It seems financing this car is best option…get lowest interest rate available – put about 5-10% down and enjoy the car for a decent payment. Iv been able to get 3k knocked off of the MSRP.
if you really want this car, i would advise buying it as well. just the money you save on interest alone makes it worth the while.
This is a funny conversation, since I own a GT-R (purchase, not lease) and my wife wants me to get an A5/S5.
But my 4% auto loan and payments @ 50% of the S5 (without navigation, I might add) would drive me far, far away.
(Audi’s sheer arrogance and spotty reliability > 50k miles seals the deal)
Man, I want to see some pics of that GTR of yours. LOL. I agree that Audi seems to think too highly of themselves. They kind of have to if they want to compete with the BMWs of the world. Have you guys ever seen these Audi vs BMW billboards? Classic!
